Ottawa City Hires Former National Team Player

& Ottawa Native Kristina Kiss to our Technical Team

Feb 9, 2022, Ottawa, ON;  Ottawa City Soccer Club (OCSC) is pleased to announce the hiring of former Canadian National Team player, National A License Coach, and Ottawa Native Kristina Kiss to our Technical Team.   

Ottawa City SC has a fully integrated player development program with Grassroots, Competitive and Recreational programs providing a player development pathway into our senior men’s and women’s teams. 

OCSC’s partnership with SURF San Diego provides our top players direct access to Surf Select, a National identification program built through Surf Nation providing select players the opportunity to compete in the best international and domestic events, picking from a player pool from 36 Clubs across North America.

Kristina Kiss, is a native of Ottawa, and made her debut with Canada Women’s National team in March 2000, and over her career won 75 caps for Canada.  She’s played professionally in Norway, and has lead youth development in Canada for over the past 14 years.  She holds a Canadian A license, Children’s License, and completing her Youth License in 2022.  She will oversee and lead the development of the Girls program at the Ottawa City Soccer Club.  

‘We are thrilled to have Kristina be joining our talented Technical team at Ottawa City’ said OCSC Executive Director Kim Gamble.  ‘Her experience as a Technical Leader, coach, and National Team player and her wealth of knowledge will be instrumental in OCSC’s strategic vision over the next 5 years.”

Kristina’s role is  Technical Female Manager: responsible for Coach and Player Development.  She joins OCSC Technical Director Craig Fannan (Native of England), OCSC Technical Team members; Craig Kelly (Native of England), Eduan Naude (Native of South Africa), and Lucas Blain (Native of Canada),   “We are delighted to welcome Kristina to the club” said OCSC’s TD Craig Fannan.  ‘Being able to attract someone with Kristina’s experience shows the improvements we have made as a club over the last few years. I think it demonstrates how serious we are about player and coach development. We already have a wonderful girls program and we are excited to see Kristina drive it forward.”
