Ottawa City is proud to announce our new winter training program, led by one our adult soccer coaches, Demetri Papadatos. Demetri has been coaching soccer for over a decade, both youth and mens teams, at Ottawa Royals, Internationals and Ottawa City. As part of that journey, Coach Demetri’s teams have consistently performed well, winning numerous division titles and tournament championships, locally and in the US, including the Eastern Regional Cup. Last summer, coach Demetri lead one of our teams, the Ottawa City “Blue Squad“, to a top 2 finish in a Men’s Competitive 1 division (MC1) composed of 16 teams. This has opened the door to a possible promotion to the Mens Premier division this summer (2023).

As part of this potential new journey, Ottawa City and coach Demetri will be looking to recruit, train and promote several players from our winter program to our top ranked adult men’s summer teams.  As such, we encourage highly motivated, positive-thinking, skilled soccer players to join our winter training program to prepare for a great summer of soccer. Regional youth players in U17-18 are also welcome to participate.

The winter training program will consist of 2 components: 1. Weekly turf sessions at Algonquin College on Sundays between 4-6 pm and 2. Weekly gym sessions at St Pius Catholic high school on Tuesday nights between 8:30-10 PM. The exact dates for each will be posted. While registration for each component will be offered separately, to allow flexibility for players with scheduling conflicts, registrants to the combined/full program will be offered a $50 discount.

Registration will be limited to approximately 18-20 players.
