Welcome to Just for Kicks 2023 – our special needs soccer program’s 11th season.
What is Just for Kicks
Players ages 5-99 with developmental disabilities can get active and have fun while learning soccer-related skills. Activities are tailored to suit the intellectual and physical abilities of each player. No athletic experience required. Watch from the sidelines while your child or family member makes friends and participates in a lively summer pastime. Smiling is an asset.

Volunteer
This program runs entirely on volunteer power. Please spread the word to others who may be interested in lending a hand. We strive to give our players 1:1 support out on the field. There is no need to sign up in advance, simply show up as your schedule permits. Volunteers of any age or ability are welcome. High school students can receive volunteer hours toward their diploma (Grade 8 grads as well). Several of our players can benefit from strong athletic and/or experienced volunteers, so please consider donating your time if you fit the bill.
If you or someone you know would like to be involved in this worthwhile program, please contact Shannon Mallen to receive email updates.

Notes:
- Due to the medical needs and sensitivities of our players, we do not play in the rain.
- Players need shin guards (mandatory) and proper footwear (running shoes are fine).
- A parent/guardian or acceptable older sibling must be present to participate in all activities with the child on the field if required by the coach.
Volunteers assist coaches by modifying soccer based activities to suit the intellectual and physical abilities of each participant. The soccer club strives to provide a 1:1 ratio of volunteers to children, however this is not guaranteed.
