Competitive Program Overview

For players seeking more challenges and a serious approach to soccer, Ottawa City Soccer Club’s Competitive programs offer a focused academy environment aimed at elevating individuals from average to exceptional.

Through a holistic approach, we develop technical, tactical, physical, and psychological skills, benefiting both players and teams.

OCSC provides different tiers of competitive play, ensuring a clear pathway to reach each player’s full potential. While fun remains key, development happens through competitions, tournaments, and games against regional clubs.

Players are placed in Premier or Selects teams based on coaching assessments, with teams represented by colors (Blue & White). Movement between teams is based on performance and call-up needs.

Travel, weekend training, and festivals/tournaments are required. All competitive players must maintain 85% attendance to remain in the program.

Fall Intake Program Overview

For players looking to join Ottawa City Soccer Club’s Youth Competitive Program during the fall season, the Fall Intake provides an opportunity to experience our competitive environment and be evaluated over several weeks.

The Fall Intake is designed specifically for new players who are not currently registered in our Youth Competitive Program. Players will train and compete alongside existing Premier and Selects teams while being evaluated by our coaching staff in a real team environment.

The Fall Intake is part of our existing outdoor competitive program and does not replace or change the current team structure. Players currently registered in the Competitive Program will remain with their existing teams.

Players participating in the Fall Intake will also take part in our Talent ID Days on October 16–18. This provides additional opportunities for players to demonstrate their abilities and be considered for our Indoor Program.
