Sports Performance Program
The concept behind Adaptive State is simple: to be able to constantly adapt and excel. Our Adaptive State Performance program propels you towards a state of readiness for anything that life – or the game – throws at you whether it’s easily bouncing back from an injury, approaching new challenges without fear, overcoming feelings of limitation, or always being ready to perform and rise to the occasion.
Hello, parents and athletes of Ottawa City Soccer Club!
My university education and professional certifications include:
• BSc. HK – Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Human Kinetics – University of Ottawa
• CSCS – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist – National Strength and Conditioning Association
(NSCA)
• PN1-NC – Precision Nutrition Level 1 – Certificate in Exercise Nutrition
• Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED Certified
My personal experience with sport performance, injuries and physical rehabilitation lead me to my degree in Human Kinetics. I chose to specialize in strength and conditioning training, as I am passionate about improving health and performance of athletes and non-athletes alike. I strongly believe that everyone is capable of performing at a higher level than they might think, and it is my mission to guide them in their pursuit of excellence, whatever their definition of excellence may be.
In my youth, I played competitive soccer, basketball, and volleyball, and participated in track & field. As an adult, I love to stay active and competitive with sports and physical activities. I currently train and compete in Muay Thai and boxing, and play volleyball competitively in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, both on the beach and indoor court. I play softball recreationally and enjoy rock climbing.
Looking forward to meeting you all,
Samantha Batchelor BSc. HK, CSCS, PN1-NC
